On the court, Maria considers herself a vocal and supportive teammate who enjoys encouraging those around her and helping whenever she can. She feels that serve receive, defense, and blocking are some of the strongest parts of her game. She is especially confident in her blocking technique when facing taller hitters and takes pride in being disciplined and executing her coach’s serving strategy by placing the ball where she is asked to. Off the court, Maria considers herself someone who enjoys building strong relationships with her teammates and coaches. She values communication, teamwork, and being there for the people around her. She describes herself as dependable, positive, and respectful, and believes in maintaining a good relationship with both her head coach and assistant coach. She enjoys being part of a positive team environment and contributing to a culture where everyone feels supported.
